CandiQuik chocolate ready to melt and make in a minute!

August 21, 2014
Each member of our family is a fan of a good snack.  However we are not big junk food snackers, we prefer chocolate to candy because it just washes off our teeth.  Leaving us Tear Free at the dentist office!

Chocolate by itself is good, but add a chocolate coating to anything, pretzels, fruit, marshmallows, or cookies and we are ready to indulge.  Up until now this has been a treat we saved for parties, because lets face it, melting chocolate can be time consuming.

At this years #MKBackToSchool party we were introduced to Candiquik.  The name for me said it all, its Candi, and it sure is Quik! CandiQuik is the premium formulation of confectioner's coating, similar to almond bark, or chocolate discs (what we have used for years).  The difference is CandiQuik, has a richer taste, and creamier texture, along with the convenience of a melt & make packaging.

Never one to read directions first I didn't realize, melting CandiQuik was as simple as unwrapping the packaging and placing the microsave safe tray into our microwave for 60-75 seconds (timing varies based on microwave).

Within a minute I had liquid chocolate for my dipping pleasure.  Having dipped desserts for all of my kids parties I was shocked Candiquik was so easy to work with, better yet there wasnt a mess!  The mess and variety of steps is mostly the reason why chocolate covered anything only gets made for birthdays.

Naturally with the girliest of girls we had to add pink sprinkles!

Working with chocolate made this simple we also made a rocky road of sorts.  We mixed in peanuts, marshamllows, rice krispies, and golden grahmas cereal into the chocolate left over from dipping the pretzels (which was still melted) and scooped it into mini cupcake holders. Glad I stored some of these babies into a baggie making them available now!

CandiQuik taste great in both milk chocolate, or vanilla and is available at your local Target.  For additional stores in your area check out their store locator.  CandiQuik also offers a variety of recipes based on occasions or seasons on their website.

Now that CandiQuik has made dipping chocolate so simple, I may have to increase my days with the trainer.

What shall we dip tonight?  I'm thinking bananas!
