The PBR (Professional Bull Riders) launches the 2017 Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) season at Madison Square Garden with the Monster Energy Buck Off at the Garden January 6 – 8, 2017. The first stop on a fierce 26-city tour will showcase the top 35 bull riders in the world trying to stay on their 2,000-pound bovine opponents in a ferocious 8-second battles of brawn and bravado in the ultimate quest for the coveted gold buckle. The “toughest sport on dirt” comes to the “World’s Most Famous Arena” for three days of intense, adrenaline-soaked action. Tickets are on sale now for this much-anticipated event.

 

Current PBR World Champion Cooper Davis will be joined by two-time PBR World Champion and Monster Energy bull rider J.B. Mauney, 2016 runner up Kaique Pacheco, 19-year old phenom and 2016 rookie of the year Jess Lockwood, and fellow fan favorite athletes Silvano Alves, Ryan Dirteater, Guilherme Marchi, Mike Lee, Derek Kolbaba, and Chase Outlaw as they compete to be crowned the Madison Square Garden event champion.

 

A total of 750 tons of dirt will be trucked in to cover over the ice of the New York Rangers with an 8-inch deep topsoil bull riding surface.  Copious amounts of pyro, a soundtrack blasting great music, and raucous arena filled with ardent fans witnessing the only sport featuring a lightweight confronting a heavyweight in the same arena, all help to make PBR one of New York City’s most electrifying annual events. 

 

The action begins on Friday, January 6 at 7:45 p.m.6:50 p.m. on Saturday, January 7and Sunday, January 8 at 1:50 p.m. Tickets, ranging in price from $25 to $207 can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or via phone at 800-745-3000. For the second year in a row, PBR Elite Seats are available for a true VIP experience. Located in an exclusive section of the arena immediately next to the chutes and all the action, PBR Elite Seats are priced at $505 each and will give fans the VIP experience of a lifetime; a pre-event reception with refreshments, backstage tours featuring a PBR 101 presentation, and meet-and-greet with top PBR stars. 

 

The 2017 Built Ford Tough Series rolls on for its 18-state tour, culminating with the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas when the 2017 PBR World Champion, the bull rider who has earned the most PBR world points during the 2017 season, will receive the ultimate bull riding prize - the World Championship belt buckle and $1 million bonus.
