Living Life in the Clear

By Tara Peduto July 21, 2015
We are not a family that wears glasses, so it was a shock to us when one of our twins began to show signs of needing corrective lenses. Gianna like many other children her age began rubbing her eyes, and squinting, in school.  Although those are the signs we experienced there are also a few others like bad behavior and problems in school, that indicate eyesight problems.  Luckily we scheduled an eye exam before it could lead to anything passed squinting.  What we discovered was Gianna's vision wasn't 20/20 and she was in need of vision correction lenses.
According to the Vision Council, an eye exam is important for all children and should not be confused with the eye screenings that often occur at school. These screenings, while important, cannot provide the same level of eye care and diagnosis that a comprehensive eye exam can.  As a parent now is the time to schedule your kids eye care appointment to ensure they are prepared to start the new school year which will be  here in a few short weeks.

Selecting our daughters new frames was a struggle her being a diva of course.  However when it came to the lens we were secure in knowing we preferred Crizal. After reading the pamplet while waiting for my daughter to choose her frames I learned not all lenses were created equal, and some lenses damage easily. Damaged lenses could be obstructing your child’s vision with scratches, smudges, or even glare. Crizal for Kids pairs Crizal® No-Glare lenses with a safe and impact-resistant polycarbonate lens material to provide children the best lens experience.

Recommended for ages 5-12, children can choose from two lens packages within the Crizal for Kids product line: Crizal® Kids UV™ lenses, which provide 25 times more UV protection than going without eyewear, and Crizal® Prevencia™ Kids lenses, which provide all of the benefits of Crizal Kids UV lenses plus additional protection from harmful Blue-Violet light.

What Gianna has to say about Crizal:

I love my new glasses, I look sophisticated, and I can see clearly through the lenses! I love that I don't have to clean them all day long because they do not collect dirt and smudges.  I can't wait to get back to school and have a great year:)
